Welcome
Training your dog is one of the most important aspects of raising a dog.  A well trained dog is a happier dog because a trained dog has fewer restrictions and more privileges.   Â
Building a Lifetime Relationship
Training serves to strengthen the bond between dog and owner. It builds trust, cooperation, communication, understanding and mutual respect. Statistics show that puppies that receive early behavior and obedience training are far more likely to be lifelong companions than those that do not receive this early training.  In the spirit of building a lifetime relationship with your fur-friend, Dogs Bay never uses any harsh or harmful training tactics!
Training = Safety
Obedience training gives the owner the control necessary to help prevent potential tragedies. Not only will obedience training help your dog to become more responsive, but because it enables you to have more control over your dog’s behavior, in an emergency situation obedience training may save your dog’s life.   Â
Dogs Bay’s Unique Training Formula
The most important element of being a Pack Leader is being the decision maker yet most dog training companies only offer one “program” and one “style of training”   Â
At Dogs Bay you are the Decision Maker of your training experience with our customized training options for both our group and private training! The best part of putting together your own training package is you only pay for what you need!   Â
Our trainers are Certified and have trained under the best dog training professials in the world, such as Cesar Millan, Victoria Stilwell, Dr. Ian Dunbar DVM, Ph.D., CPDT, Sue Garrett, Dr. Karen Overall MA, VMD, Ph.D., Patricia McConnell Ph.D., Steve Dale, Trish King CPDT, Karen Pryor, Terry Ryan CPDT, Pia Silvani CPDT, Sue Sternberg, Nicole Wilde CPDT, Jan Elster, Teoti Anderson CPDT and Turid Rugaas. Â Our trainers are Members of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers!
 We have knowledge of, and implement many styles and techniques into our training programs because every owner…every dog… every situation is unique and one style of training simply doesn’t work for every dog or owner.
 We offer a lifetime guarantee on our services with our full private training program!
 When Choosing a Trainer
There are no state licenseing requirements that govern dog training.  You can literally read a book and call yourself a dog trainer. Be careful of franchises where their “formal education” consists of a four week course and only deals with one style of training that may not work for your dog! Check Credentials!! Ask the trainer to provide you with one verifiable certificate of certification showing the trainer has some form of formal dog education.   Ask to watch a training session to make sure the trainer’s style and training tactics resonate with the kind of relationship you want to be forming with your dog!!  If what you see makes you uncomfortable in any way…keep looking!
