Behavior Modification Seminar
Required for ALL puppy Kindergarten Students and any first time Canine Elementary Students (Included in tuition for Puppy K and Canine Elementary or as an Extra Credit Class – $55)
You will learn how to become a consistent, loving pack leader by learning to communicate to your dog in a language s/he understands,  setting clear, rules, boundaries and limitations and  providing mental and physical challenges to keep your fur friend happy and balanced. Â

Our Puppy Kindergarten classes are specially designed for puppies 10-20 weeks old. Â - An introduction to early obedience commands.
- Puppy Socials…at the end of every class to fine tune your puppy’s social skills!!
- Very small classes…only 6 puppies per trainer for a less distracting learning environment!

What comes after Puppy Kindergarten? Canine Elementary School…
Our Canine Elementary Classes are designed for puppies and adult dogs, ages 6 months and up.
Elementary Classes include:
- Obedience tasks such as Focus, Sit, Down, Wait, Stay, Place, Heel and Come.
Wouldn’t it be nice to ask your dog to settle, “get busy,” leave it and give on command? Then this beginning level class is for you and your fur friend!!!
Are you interested in doing therapy work with your dog? These classes will help prepare you and your fuzzy partner for the rewarding and important work of Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT).

Canine Middle School
A 5 week class focusing on real life situations, fun times and field trips!
Weeks 1, 2 and 3 we will meet at Dogs Bay North for lessons in manners as provided by the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen Guidelines, this will be a good preview for those who want to go on to get their CGC. We will also start an “introduction to agility” the last two weeks we will take our skills on the road with field trips practicing our obedience in places with high distractions. This class is open to all students who have completed Canine Elementary or private obedience training with As the Dog Learns. You may request to test into the class if you have completed training elsewhere.

Angel Vogel and fur friend, Benjamin
Trainer Angel Vogel worked for Dogs Bay Training for 6 years prior to opening up her own dog training company called “As The Dog Learns…”
Angel is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and is a certified AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator. She and her golden retriever, “Benjamin” are a registered therapy dog team with West Michigan Therapy Dogs and Therapy Dogs, Inc. Angel has over 15 years experience studying and working in the field of canine behavior, training/rehabilitation. Angel combines patience technique and consistency with professionalism, training companion dogs, future service and therapy dogs.Â
